Woke up this morning with a newfound faith in American democracy. In an era where hatred, corruption, and division seem to be the “new normal” in Washington, I feel hopeful for the first time in a decade. We, the people, proved that the future of this country is in our hands, and not up for a few billionaires to decide.

I understand that some of you reading this might feel completely different about the results of yesterday’s elections, and quite frankly, none of you opened this email for politics. But perhaps we can all let this be the wake-up call to remind us that we, as individuals and as a community, have a lot more power than we think, and should demand more from the people who are elected to “represent” us.

Personally, I’m ready to stop thinking about politics (for now) and get back to having fun again… hbu???
