Daily Email - Tuesday - 4/28/2026

I’m backkkkkkkkkkkkkkk!!! After two non-stop weekends covering the chaos in Indio, my manz and I desperately needed a post-Chella crashout on a beach in Hawaii with some sun and more than a few Mai Tais. Hope you enjoyed the DoLA newsletter guest star appearances (roasts?) from Kristin and Kelly while I was out! Thanks for holding down the fort, ladies!

The bad news is that I’m still jet-lagged on island time and forgot how to string a sentence together. But the good news is that you’re done hearing me yap about Coachella for, like, the next eleven months! And I didn’t leave my laptop at the airport this time!

Speaking of escaping reality…

You’ve played the digital worlds. Now hear them come alive. Anime-style game developer HoYoverse steps off the screen for a HoYoFair Fan Concert on Friday, 5/1 at The Dolby Theatre, bringing Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail, and more to life with live music, fan art, and performances. Win tickets or it’s game over!*

JUST ANNOUNCED

  • Flamenco roots, acoustic guitar, and the kind of decades-long chemistry you can’t fake. Name a more iconic duo than Rodrigo y Gabriela. Don’t miss their 20th Anniversary Tour at YouTube Theater next Sunday, 5/10!*

  • If you’ve ever watched Nashville and thought “wait… this guy’s actually pretty good,” this is your moment. Charles Esten performs at the Troubadour on Friday, 5/22, and we’re giving away a free pair of tickets!

  • With inspirations ranging from alternative R&B to Japanese math-rock bands, Choker’s music moved out of his mom’s basement in Detroit to the El Rey stage for an intimate show on Thursday, 6/18. Win your way in!

  • Brazilian tech-house star Beltran’s first LA date already sold out, so he added a second on Sunday, 7/12. These are open-to-close Factory93 sets, which means you’re signing up for the full ride. We’re giving away tickets for both nights!

  • Plus fresh announcements from GWAR, Isaiah Rashad, The Infamous Stringdusters, and more!
