Heyyyyy LA. Faye here from DoSD – your temporary DoLA newsletter correspondent while Brady is off at Lightning in a Bottle somewhere, probably wearing mesh and having the time of his life…whateverrrrrrr!
For context, Brady is very “warehouse rave at 2am,” while I’m more “sunset concert that accidentally becomes a healing experience.” Different fonts, same document.
Anyway, for reasons still unclear, he handed me the DoLA newsletter keys before leaving town. Huge mistake? Maybe. Beautiful act of trust between coworkers? Also maybe. But honestly, I’m excited to be here. This feels like when sitcoms do crossover episodes, and the audience either LOVES it or gets deeply confused for 22 minutes.
OKAY - Enough about our little Freaky Friday work exchange – let’s get into the important stuff. We’re sending one of you to see Matt Maeson’s Watch My Step Tour at The Observatory on 5/27. Enter to win a pair of tickets.*
JUST ANNOUNCED
Date night deserves better plans. Join DoLA MORE for tickets to great shows and more reasons to actually lock something in. $50 for 12 months.*
The Tabernacle Choir first sang at the Hollywood Bowl 100 years ago. Now they're bringing their "Songs of Hope" benefit concerts back to the same stage on 6/24-25. Win tickets for either night!*
This is either the fanciest thing you’ll do all month or the beginning of your sudden transition into someone who says things like “the acoustics were incredible.” Renée Fleming and Béla Fleck perform at Walt Disney Concert Hall on 9/22.
The UK duo have quietly become one of those acts your coolest friend has been trying to force you to listen to for like two years. Turns out they were right. Overmono brings the Pure Devotion World Tour to Hollywood Palladium on 9/25.
Plus fresh announcements from Blondshell, Jayda G, Treaty Oak Revival, and more!
