We’re asking locals what they’re actually into lately. They pick the topic, we share the list. Every Friday, new person, new subject, maybe a new friend?

The fact that Tony Hoang could even reply to my text about being a Local's List guest is crazy, 'cuz he has one of the busiest calendars out of everyone I know. As the Executive Director of Equality California and a major advocate for LGBTQ+ rights across the state of California, he's always busy jetsetting around the country, delivering keynote addresses, shaking hands with legislators, and being a role model for us all.

But my favorite thing about Tony is when he "clocks out" and becomes a feral party animal. He always makes time for his friends, a good football game, and a happy hour. As a USC grad and long-time Downtown LA resident, he knows this city's hidden gems way better than most.

No matter how busy you are saving the world, if Tony has time to check these places out, then so do you!
